Help needed with Revox G36.

I recently picked up a Revox G36, it powers up, fast forward and rewind work but I can't get it to play, press play and nothing happens? Does anyone know if there's more to it than just pressing play / can you point me in the direction of an instruction manual?

Have you tried this with or without a tape loaded?

Both with and without tape, I'll get stuck into the service manual you just sent me.

It's a fifty year old machine, so will need some work all over. Good luck - it's a lovely thing when working right :)

After consulting the service manual I think this may be a solenoid problem. It's way to complex for me to take on and as I have no need of it I'm not going to have it repaired, I'll just sell it spares or repair. Thanks for all the help though :thumbsup:
