Hello from Milan

Hello to everyone,

I'm Eugenio from Milan / Italy.
I've found this forum through another nice one, I've looking for information regarding improving on my Technics SL 1210 and some forumer give me some link to theartofsound... so here I am.

Now my system is very basic, in the past it was far better, but at the moment passion for hifi is not on fire, even if I always love to listen some good music.

thanks for welcoming me.

I like most of music, don't have a particular predilection for a particular kind of music, until ra short time ago I did not love much classic music, while now I am enjoying much Dvorak (discovered thanks to an essay of music of my daughter, a beginner soprane saxophonist).

My hifi system is quite simple.

Sources are liquid music and vinyl, very very rareli I use cd.
I use a Mac Mini and as converter a Denon DVD A1, that in my opinion is much better as Dac than as cd player.
Analoug source is a light modded Technics SL 1210, I use 2 cartriges, a Benz Reference with its dedicated step up (an old one branded Benz Scientific) and a modified Denon DL-103 matched with its step up Denon AU 103.
Phono stage has been made by a friend of fime, it is an evolution of Tnt Audio's InDiscreto, with a very better psu and high end components. it is really good, compared with my previous one, a Musical Sourrounding Phonomena with battery power supply it is far better.
Preamp is Sonic Euphoria PLC, and power amps are a pair of mono Cairn K1 HE.
Loudspeaker are a pair of JM Labs Electra 927 Be.
And that's all about my system ;)

Nice looking system you have there. What modifications have been made to the Denon 103?
