FS: Akai GX-77 Reel to Reel

Akai GX-77 Reel to Reel for sale at £295 plus postage. (Postage may be quite dear as it weighs 17kg and the tapes are quite heavy.)

Very clean cosmetically and in full working order. Supplied with original Akai take up reel and spare BASF take up reel. Also included 6 used 7" tapes, 2 used 5" tapes and 4 pre-recorded tapes. There is a notebook detailing which album and track are on each tape includes Johnny Cash, Nat King Cole, Simon and Garfunkel, Roy Orbison, Barbara Streisand, Shirley Bassey and a lot more.

It records and plays both sides of the tape. I made a video showing it playing in forward and reverse, recording, rewinding, fast forward and cueing:
