Cables arrived this morning - thanks for very quick despatch - and have been swiftly compared with my resident SC's in the second system. I can't believe the different types of cables Van Damme do, as this is a 75 ohm coax, yet they also make a 'Plasma Grade' coax of similar dimensions, which isn't quite as flexible though.

It appears to me that the Van Damme interconnect cables I have, with one exception (the shotgun twin screened), have a sort-of house sound, which is sweet, musical and ever-so-slightly 'wispy' at higher frequencies. Not at all unpleasant and nothing like the over-done Chord cables I used to sell and use, but it's something I can now fairly easily recognise at a pinch, especially when listening on headphones and it just smudges 'flutter-echo' reverb effects (One track I could hear it was 'Walking Wounded' by Everything But The Girl where the longer mix has some prolonged effects as described).

Put one in each of my systems and both sound pretty good, especially the one from the cd player to the pre in the man cave. was belting out Queen earlier and it never sounded better
