When I added an Achromat it was a big improvement. Great value for money - but this was on top of a MN bearing and FunkFirm platter

I wonder how it will perform without those ......

Very well!

When my 1210 arrived a year ago, I tested a number of different matts including an Inspire copy of the Acromat, a Inspire Acrylic, a Funk Achromat, along with the usual suspects of a Technics rubber and a felt matt. Differences between all the mats was easy to hear with the Inspire copy and the Acromat being very clear leaders. The Acromat just pipped the copy.

I have still not upgraded the power supply, bearing or platter on my Techie but I did splash out on a set of Isonoes with boots and replaced the arm with the OL Silver 3A.

Using the Ortofon Cadenza Bronze I already owned I'm highly delighted with the dynamics and sound that the deck achieves which as it stands sounds better than the LP12/Ittok III I owned previously.

Hi Gerald

I'm happy to sell you the Inspire copy for £30 + £3.00 p&p. It fits inside the rim of the SL1210 platter therefor sitting properly and the difference between it and the Acromat are very slight if at all. It is made of the same material.

PM me if interested.
