Hi Al,
Might I ask about the 'shelving/racking' system which is shown supporting your latest 'acquisition' in the image that you posted? Is it adaptable / substantial enough to support several T/T's?
I only have 4, but one of them is mounted on a slate plinth and I'm trying to find a solution to the problem of mounting it and 2 others in my soon to be 'retirement home', which has 'dry lined' walls.

Very true - from what I have seen and heard you can take the beastie in a number of quite different directions.
You could easily have half a dozen different Ultimate Techies ... and still fancy doing some more mods!

The racking is made by a company called ximula

Not made specifically for hi fi so maybe not the BEST solution , it does what I want / need so is good enough for me , You can get 2 different shelf widths , the shelves slide up and down in the alloy extrusions
The upright posts are free standing at the bottom and fixed at the top to the wall , I have considerable weight on mine and have had no problems at all

is that the RPM10 from thewam Allen? looks lovely :) - i had an RPM 9.1 back a while back, lovely turntable, but i changed it for a voyd valdi, thinking i was moving up. the valdi never lasted long as, though it was a marvellous turntable, it was somehow crossed with a trampoline. you could barely breath whilst it was playing :)

i love that sony too. any chance you got it from Jag (again on the wam)? i know he had one, and it was a thing of beauty. never heard it though. i might have a spare headshell for it (the same Sony your's has on it) if you're interested?

Yes its a 10.1 :) Pro-Ject , I am liking it , I think the grey make a nice visual alternative to Black or Silver

I bought a 6750 a few weeks ago too. My first turntable since the 1980's. I was lucky enough to pick up a dv20xh for it from nuff in the classifieds here and am delighted with the combination. I think some of the old 'jap crap' stigma still attaches to these DD decks and as a result they offer great value for money.

Lovely deck, the PS-6750 and I agree that it's another very under-rated Japanese design. Still trying to get my hands on a PS-8750 to see how much better it is, though...
