Recommend me the best CROFT preamp

After being impressed with the little Micro Basic I now own I'd like to consider upgrading to something further up the ladder.

Is there "ultimate" Croft preamp?

Yes, the 25RS. The separation of the power supply into a separate box has an extraordinary effect, hugely opening up the sound.

The 25RS is the best by some margin. They all get better as you go up the range.

The 25RS is the only two box jobbie. It has a separate power supply. Next one down is the 25R, a one piece pre.
