A classic vintage Ortofon SUT, designed for SPU and other low impedance Ortofon models.

A highly sought after device, a collectors item among SPU freaks (esp. Japanese)

1:31 ratio, perfect for 2-5 ohm pickups

Came as a clear winner in many aspects on a recent SUT test we conducted with txs from Auditorium A23, Clearaudio, Cinemag, S&B and modern Ortofon.

A stunning tone colors and overall sound richness, something you don't find with the contemporary offerings in this price range. Absolutely the best instruments tonal quality I've had. It threw A23 out of my system.

A perfect condition.

Price: 750 Euros (about 600 Pounds) delivered to your door, bank transfer only (my PP account is at the moment blocked and I have no intention to provide them with a personal data PP insists on).

Pls PM for more info and pics.

The reason for sale (and I'm not 100% sure about it) is I've got Tango MCT-999 SUT (sounding (if) just marginally better but costing almost 3x more than this)...

Hi Gordan,

I'm afraid that supplying pictures is a prerequisite for advertising goods for sale. Therefore, pictures must be supplied, along with ads, at the time they are posted. Therefore, I must ask that you supply some pics of the items in question, or I will have to remove your ad temporarily until pictures have been provided.

You have until the end of the evening to do that.

Cheers!

Marco.

Just out of interest, did the STA-6600L come as standard with the JS transformers or are those something you've fitted yourself inside the casing? :)

JS transformers are standard in every 6600L, no doubt ;)

Ah right, I didn't know. I've only been familiar with Ortofon SUTs since their Lundahl days :)

These old Ortofon SUT's are very popular in Japan ;)

For a good reason, they have a tremendous tonal quality. They make almost impossible to listen many of the more recent SUTs that sound forensic at expense of music qualities of older devices from the golden era of analogue. It's only when you hear one of these you understand what you are missing. They really dig into the essence of music.

Yes the JS transformers inside are original, they came out of Jorgen Schou workshop labeled 6600, hence Ortofon named the whole SUT device STA-6600. The prints are visible from the bottom pic. The device is untouched, this is how it left Ortofon.
