This is a gorgeous fully serviced Lenco L75 TT that I bought from a serious enthusiast from the Lenco Heaven forum.
He had fully cleaned and serviced the TT and even resprayed the top plate so that it's immaculate.
It's mounted on a lovely solid wood plinth with a lovely finish and comes with a Rega R200 tonearm. The wood plinth is quite heavy and is superbly finished - there is a tiny mark on the front which I have zoomed on in one of the photos.
The Rega arm is in great cosmetic condition and works fine.
It even has a Rega lid with hinges which you can keep on or easily take off.
The TT is mounted on the plinth with a set of 4 springs that can be adjusted for levelling - so in effect it's suspended.
However, you can easily just remove the springs and use simple washers or some damping material to mount the TT to keep it non suspended.

I'm looking for £350 collected from SW London.
I would also consider a swap with a 401 motor unit in very good condition.

You get a great looking and performing idler drive set up on the cheap.
It's really heavy and I dont want to ship this. So collection only please

very nice deck; I used to have a 75, and it was a great machine. Gave it to someone to look after and he put it out in his garage:doh: cretin

It really is damn heavy and however well I package it, I'd be paranoid about damage via courier, especially when there's a perspex lid involved. Sorry about that.
Maybe you could get a friendly traveller to pick up and get it close to you? :-)

Just a heads up Deba, I've been browsing eBay and found this on there. I noticed you have it on for £450 buy now but your description says £350 you may want to sort that bit out.
Great looking TT by the way, I love the. Plinth.

The R200 is a good partner to the modified L75, both aesthetically and sonically.

Thanks a ton Nuff!! Really appreciate that - will sort out immediately. The ebay listing is a back up. I would really prefer to sell it to a forum member anyway!

That plinth has history. My mate made it under the supervision of a master craftsman. It's made from solid English Maple, you won't find another like it, none of this plywood cr*p. My mate changed direction and I bought the plinth off him. I had the plinth finished by Russ Collinson who makes bespoke hi fi furniture. I briefly mounted a GL78 and L70 in it but got a bit fed up with faffing around with Lencos (at one point I had 20) and sold up to buy a Rega :)

It's worth £350 for the plinth alone - you won't find another like it although shame about the scratch :(

Cheers

Wow Phil - didnt know this history - especially that it was finished by Russ Collinson, but not surprised, considering the quality of the finish. I have a Russ Colinson plinth for my 401 in rosewood finish and it is gorgeous

Here it is in a previous life:

Lencos are amazing decks, particularly the older ones (GL59, 60, 70, etc). That's a 70 in my photo which was wonderful with old 78s and mono records and not bad with modern vinyl either - great slam with something like a Shure M3D.

The plinth is probably one of the nicest you will find anywhere and totally bespoke. SOLID English Maple cut precisely to take a Lenco with suspension if required. To have something like that professionally made you would be talking £100's. Nice to see it still around and hope it goes to a good home - the deck and arm look great too :-)

Cheers
