This is the type of Kubota Compact Tractor we owned when we had a house in France

It was great fun using it to cut the grass, rotavatoring as well as general carrying things in it's transport box !! (is rotavatoring a word ??? ; ) ))

I have some proper pics of our Kubota which I will post if I can find them.... but you get the idea...

My ONLY regret in life is NOT being able to live in France for the rest of my days due to someone with a horrendous illness that means we must stay in the UK..... :(:(:(

I think "rotavating" is the correct term Bev.

Although not in the same league as you, when my late father was thinking of replacing his Briggs & Stratton motor mower, I was hoping he would get a lawn tractor mower for me to ride around whilst cutting the grass. No such luck - he employed a gardener/groundsman to do the job instead!

Those Marshall tractors were proper bits of machinery - a marvel of Lincolnshire engineering. None of yer namby-pamby key in the ignition nonsense - you start them with a shotgun cartridge!

ooo Tractors, just come across this thread, i had 5 vintage tractors at one time.... my mate has a set of 3 Field Marshals, they cover your in oily smuts when driving :D
