Wanted- Jungson Hedo/Duro or JA88D-09

I'm looking for either the Jungson Hedo/Duro power amp, or the Jungson JA88D-09 integrated (not the 03 version). Hedo/Duro preferred, mainly for the looks!

Richard, just out of interest have you heard the JA88D?

Hah! No I haven't, nor the Hedo. I only need the power amp section, although a preamp within it might be useful at some point. As I am building a Troels Gravesen speaker, I was interested in his description of, and modifications to, the Hedo. Same power amp in both. I have a big valve power amp (being slowly modded) for regular use, but I want a SS power amp for standby or moving around. Class A (mainly!) also appeals.
Of course, if the price was too high I couldn't afford it for a secondary amp. Assuming I could even find one!

Thanks Mike. I can't understand any of it, of course, but if my currency converter is right, that is £1042! Pretty steep. And although it mentions class A, I think the Hedo intregrated is class A/B, mainly class B. But I'm not sure of that.
And there is a black one on ebay for £325!

I would warmly endorse your choice of amplifier - I have an early model Jungson JA88D and find it very detailed, always musically involving and never tiring or fatiguing. I enjoy a wide range of musical styles and have owned several amplifiers previously including Naim, Musical Fidelity and Sugden but in my system and to my ears the Jungson is perfect.

I notice you are specifying the later 09 model which I haven't heard but perhaps you should consider the earlier one too?

Mine isn't for sale though!!

The price is correct, but the ad is for three units; CD player, Preamp and the Poweramp, all from the same series. Have no idea if the price is right though! ;)
