I seem to have acquired three turntables and have decided to keep two so this one's up for grabs. It is a superb turntable for the money and a great way of getting back into vinyl. Mine is in the classy red finish and basically as good as new, which I hope is evident from the photos.
The turntables I am keeping are my Rega RP6 and Technics SL1200Mk II and this Pro-Ject deck sounds just as good as either of them to my ears, it's that good!
This Pro-Ject Carbon Esprit SB (the "SB" stands for "Speed Box") came new from Henley Designs late last year - Henley are the UK Pro-Ject distributor. I also had them put special RCA sockets on the rear as I found the originals a bit slack.
I'm also including some Pro-Ject Connect-It leads for the turntable (as well as the original supplied ones) as these offer much better isolation. These currently retail for £99 alone. The braided end of one has come away from the plug but this obviously affects performance in no way.
I thought I'd price the total package at £300 which is below the current RRP for the lower model, the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. The model for sale retails at £425 and has the acrylic platter and electronic speed control, both of which are upgrades on the standard Debut carbon. Insured UK postage is free and included in the £300.
Note this deck does not include a cartridge but either the Ortofon 2M Red or Blue sing with it :)
