A rare and beautiful Leak Stereo 60 power amp. The most powerful valve amp they produced -the grip and dynamics it offers are incredible.

This example is in remarkable condition and has been fully rebuilt by Classique Sounds to an extremely high specification, including the fitment of Jensen capacitors.

The rectifier and signal valves are Mullards and it comes with a really clean set of GEC KT66 power valves (it can also run EL34 or 5881 valves).

This unit is completely silent in use, sounds amazing and is fit to drive most speakers with ease.

I have only seen a few other examples for sale abroad, so this is a rare opportunity for someone. I am looking for £900 to include valves. I can arrange UK delivery at cost using a specialist courier.

I will endeavour to answer any questions.

Kind regards,
TD

My word I had to look twice when I saw '60' and not '20'. Jensen caps and GEC KT66, this is a thing of pride to own.

Nice. Real world 30 Watts too.

That's lovely. I've had several 20s, but not one of these.

Wot is a quad of GEC KT66s worth these days?

Thanks to all for the kind comments.

I am open to interesting trades to the same or lesser value (with cash my way), but no cables or digital sources please.

Mmm... Jensen caps and it also looks like Paul at Classique has fitted some vintage russian caps in there too which are excellent.

A superb bit of kit... I can vouch for Classique Sounds, he really knows his onions... as you can see. A bargain for someone, shame your selling it.

I would have had this but I'm saving up for a EMT 930st

Very many thanks for the interest. I have reconsidered this and have withdrawn the item from sale. The last one sold on ebay UK for more than twice my asking price, so I guess the price was fair.

I was going to suggest asking Hifi dave, as he loved this amp over all the Leaks. Having one fully rebuilt and singing would obviously be a real bonus. Such a shamr that these things now seem to be collectors items, so will not really be used for original purpose once in a collection.

Cannot blame you David, as these are not only rare, they are superb, AMD that was an excellent price. There is a lot of top kit not moving currently.

You made the right decision, David. A wonderful amp... keep hold of it.
