Hello,

Real name is Shaun.

I am just going through a mid life crisis and rebuilding my system. Getting my interest back that I used to have back when I first started work and was old enough to get a bank loan to buy my first proper HiFi system.

Music - anything really , Soul, Mainstream Jazz, Classical male Vocal, Female Vocals.

I love my original Xerxes and am trying to put together a valve based amplifier system to drive my LV speakers.

Recently met a few people over on the Wam, great guys, and have been pleasantly surprised how good "old but good" systems are which is good really as with the expense of family life I tend to buy second hand stuff to get more bang for my buck as it were.

Looking forward to interacting with people on this forum, hopefully to our mutual benefit.

your music tastes are much like mine. Listening to anything (apart from 'country' in my case).

Valves go well with LVs. It's years since I heard any. The Xerxes can sound amazing set up right, what arm & cart are you using?
