Photographs of a deserted RAF Stenigot shot around 2008 using my then Hasselblad 500CM fitted with a Carl Zeiss 50mm lens and yellow/green filter. The film stock was Kodak Tri-X 400 which explains the distinctive image quality and was developed using Ilford ID-11.
These dishes are not radar dishes, they are in fact part of the 'Ace High' communications system which was widespread all over Europe and beyond. Unfortunately, this base was destined to close when the system became redundant however the dishes were just hauled into a corner of a field and left to rot.
