Hi Folks,

Have recently upgraded from a Arcam R-Link to the Bushmaster MK II dac.

However after connecting it to the Apple AE, I'm getting slight delays and occasional signal drop outs, something that never happened with the Arcam.

Just wanted to know if there are others using both these devices together and experiencing similar issues.

I stream Spotify from my Ipad to the AE then through the Dac and onto my amp.

downgrade the firmware of the AE to 7.6.1 (i think). I had continual dropouts with the latest fw. hope it works for you.

Will give that ago tonight, thanks.

I'm not sure what version I'm on at the moment, but I'll reduce it down to the very lowest if that is 7.6.1

i checked the fw version on my ap extreme and two ap expresses (one first gen., one new gen.) and they are all running 7.6.1...

update: sorry, one of the AEs (the newer one) is running 7.6.2. note that it is connected to the main access point via WIFI. The older one is connected via a RJ45 Ethernet cable. The latter is hooked up to a Bushmaster mk1, the former to a Yulong DA8.

Can only downgrade to 7.6.2 and it seems to be running O.K, but is there anyway I can still get 7.6.1.

Spoke to soon, still getting a slight delay but less frequent, need to find a way getting 7.6.1

if the AE utility doesn't propose an earlier version, then the AE is probably too recent for it... you may find other solutions like switching channels etc. on the apple support site.. hope you find a working solution

interesting thing is that the newer AP's seem to have more jitter than the first gen AP's which can cause the DAC to loose hold of the AP. To check if the problem is related to the optical output / jitter, connect a standard 3.5mm jack to the AEx..
