As a biproduct of my business I have a fair amount of Aluminium oxide, which ranges in size from talc like, to aboout the same as washing powder. This stuff is very dense and heavy, making it perfect for filling speaker stands, also, as it's non ferrous it will not corrode inside your stands.
I filled up a pair of cheap atacama stands from ebay with this stuff and they sound as good as any stand I've come across
I have a few bins of this stuff so it's free to whoever wants to come and pick some up. I have heavy bags, or bring your stands along and fill them up here.
