*****REDUCED*****

Hi All

I'm finally going to go for a classic deck (401 hopefully) so - very reluctantly - my lovely Michell set-up needs to go.

I bought this from a very well respected chap from The Wigwam a couple of years ago and it has performed superbly since. It is a current spec Gyro SE with the full Orbe upgrades:

Tecnoarm (This will be included)
Orbe Platter
The current top of the range HR Power supply unit.
Densodamp chassis damping
Arm de-coupling kit
Michell Orbe Clamp

I also have a Michell Unicover and a SME arm board (or whatever Michell call them) and even have the box. I also have a custom made full cover - this comprises a glass base and a Perspex lid that fits over the whole thing - the lid is a bit worn, I haven't ever used this myself as I bought the unicover which does a grand job!

It is in beautiful condition, there is a tiny (and I mean tiny) nick on the edge of the motor housing, but you cannot see it unless you are on top of the thing and squinting

It looks beautiful and sounds beautiful, everyone should own a Michell for at least a little while - the engineering is fantastic.

I'm looking for £1,150 and would hugely prefer collection from East Sussex. I would consider delivering within 30/40 miles or meeting part way - or I could transport up to Worcestershire for future collection next weekend.

I'm using the pic that previous sent me - but i'll take a few more when I get home tomorrow. (NB - No cart is included in the sale)

Reduced in price to £1,200

I really need to move this on, or I may miss out on a 401 - but I really can't afford to go much lower.

Ok, my window of opportunity could be closing so reduced to:

£1,150 - but I really cannot go any lower than that.

If it seals a deal - I will include the Audiophile Base on which the Michell sits in my pics.

These are highly thought of and highly effective isolation platforms.

What's the actual age of the dek ? Do you have all the original boxes and do you have the standard platter

Hi Ted
I'm not certain of the age, but I'm pretty sure that's its around 5 years old approx. - its certainly current spec.
I have the original box and packaging, but not the standard platter. However, these can be purchased quite cheaply used and just drops straight on to the deck.

Spill....what you getting? :)

Last turntable I had was a Rega Planar 2/A&R C77 about 25 years ago, and I loved that.
Looking forward getting back into vinyl, will be a bit spendy - Have you seen the price of some of the classic albums on 180g vinyl???

Still need a phono stage and cart, so got my eyes on a Firebottle too down the line.
Heard the first version at a mate's and it sounded fantastic.
The second one is supposed to be even better

Even if I need to wait a bit before playing records, just having the Gyro on my rack will be good.
Happy with digital, just looking for something different. :)

You getting back into vinyl after some time away Grant?

What mods did you request?

Alan built me a two box version with Takman resistors and Mundorf ZN caps.

It's also both single ended and balanced in and outputs.
