Just a short note to say that I've been interested in hifi since I put together my first amp, a modular Sinclair, in my early teens (shows my age!). Since then I have been through umpteen different bits of kit, always searching for something that I could listen to for long periods. Problem was that the more I read, the more dissatisfied I became; just best to stay clear of the hifi magazines in my view. I invariably buy secondhand now rather than taking the hit of losing money as soon as I walk out of the shop. Currently running a Linn LP12, Roksan Caspian Pre/Monos, Monitor Audio Silver S8, Arcam CD192 so all fairly bog standard kit.
Music interests are mainly 70's/80's music like early Zeppelin, Roy Harper, Be Bop Deluxe, Ambrosia, Atomic Rooster and well-produced stuff by the likes of Leckie, Parsons, Martin, etc.
