Hi All.
I found this forum whilst Googling Technics 1210- who'd have thought it.
I'm getting back into HiFi after a 12 year hiatus, and I'm putting together a 'budget' vinyl system- after thinking it to death I finally settled on a Technics 1210, into my Graaf amp, and a pair of Rega R1 speakers.
The amp I've had for years, the speakers came from Gumtree a couple days ago for £100, and, the best buy I just collected from Steve at Magna Audio this evening- a nice example 1210.
Can't play it tho' as I've no cartridge, so I'll now place a wanted ad and see if anyone within a reasonable distance has one kicking around I can buy tomorrow.
Next up for me, is one of Steve's armboards, a PSU, platter, bearing... you get the idea.
Looking forward to reading through as many 1210 threads as I can- give me a week and I'll be a proper 1210 bore no doubt.
