A bit of advice please I have the chance of a sl1210 here are my options as from his email
I would be happy to build one to your requirements with a Technics arm. Let me know if you want a minimalist one or standard, blue LEDs? Colour and type of finish.
I will do you any combination and include an arm, cartridge and mat for £220 and it will be ready to go.
The minimalist hides the fader and 45 adapter as in the image

Im going for a standard arm as I want to get another Rb250 arm
My current deck is a modded p3
The reason I fancy a 1210 is allways liked them and I have loads of 45`s the rega is 33.3 only due to pulley and belt upgrades .
I think this is a cracking price what basic upgrades could I make without spending loads of cash untill I can get another Rb250 arm

Be very surprised if that price includes a deck, have you asked?

Tatty ex-dj decks go for that sort of money on e-bay.

I would recommend the standard over the minimalist - I'm not too keen on the look of that faux carbon-fibre wrap, and the cue lamp serves a useful function (as does the pitch adjust, on occasion). Some will say that removing these elements improves the deck's performance in other respects, and I can't really comment on that, but either way they're a doddle to deactivate, so why not get the standard one and try it out. Also, since you'll be playing 45s, surely you'll want the 45 adapter?

My guess is that - for that price - it's an ex-DJ deck. But that needn't be a cause for concern - the 1210 is very robust! And presumably it will have been properly cleaned and checked for functionality. I'd enquire, though, whether the arm/cart and the bearing are new or second-hand. If it's a MK2, then it could be 20-30 years old, and I've seen some worn bearings and wobbly arms on old MK2s. The bearing is cheap and easy to replace with a new original part - around £20 - but a new stock arm can be pretty pricey. Perhaps not such an issue, though, since you plan to replace it anyway, but in any case it won't hurt to get an idea of its condition. Do you know what cart will be included?

You could of course get a second-hand one from ebay for around the same price, but it'll likely need a little TLC before it's presentable and performing optimally (though this can be quite fun).

I would by the Technics deck and mount the arm off your current P3. Change the mat and feet, give it a good listen, and then sell the P3... trust me, that's what is going to happen... :) :) :) :D :D :D

I sold one with an RB300 arm sans cart for £280 plus postage to a guy in Brazil about two years ago, big demand for them there and in Thailand.
