Hoked this up today

Fitted Roy's ( Mystery :) ) Tape

Pressed play ( slightly hesitantly :eek: ) and nothing , it try's to turn the tape but is very sluggish

A bit more movement on FF and REW , still very slow

Hope I have the tape threaded correctly

I think it's all goo'd up , Will have a peep inside and see if there is anything obvious :scratch:

I had a '9000x' the issue with mine was Solenoid issue..

I had the tape round one wrong pin :doh:

It now FF and REW quicker , but no play speed

What's it like without the tape? All free running?

Might need to open her up and see which things are belt or idler driven etc - could be something slipping.
