When a band plays in a room or venue, it doesn't use room correction.

When I play my acoustic, I don't use room correction.

The sound of music always includes its environment in the real world.

Just making a point:)

That is the original performance ,in your home you are trying to reproduce that performance.

All I am really saying is that for studio recordings, where guitars are plugged directly into mixing desks, and acoustics may be recorded surrounded by acoustics panels etc etc, the philosophy is in some ways a little odd.

In general I prefer not to use DSP or any other means for room correction, instead I prefer proper room treatment. However next weekend I will have the DSP module borrowed from a friend in my system, and I'm planning to see how it can improve the sound at bass region and is that really as transparent as they say it is..

I'll get back after the weekend :)
