Drunken ebay buy advice

While away in the camper last week I ended up buying a cambridge audio dacmagic 1 for £30after a few to many ciders:doh::doh:
I tried to find out about this unit but struggling to find the instructions on there site my current cd player is a creek evo any opinions on this dac have I wasted my money? If not any way of connecting it to my computer as I have loads of music on my computer ?

Whatever, you will only have wasted the postage - I'm sure that's a regular sale price.

Some computers have a digital audio output you can connect - depends on the PC.

IIRC Dacmagic Mk1 only has a BNC input ? If your PC already has a SPDIF output you'll just need a BNC>phono adapter... However, if your PC doesn't you'll need a USB>SPDIF gadget which start @ £20 making the whole exercise a bit pointless as you can buy cracking USB DAC's for £35.

But you can use the USB->spdif converter with anything else later on - it's just a tool that you'll use again and again.
