Hi
I bought a amptastic mini 1 and I am delighted with it.
However I need more input so I am looking for a passive pre, something like a BTE or similar.
I am open to suggestions or if you have some for sale let me know.

Tisbury or if u want to spend the extra and run the Mini 1 in power amp mode to its fullest potential the Khozmo passive :)

Yes, the idea is to use the amptastic as a power and the pre for 3 inputs

I'm watching this with interest as I am hoping to do something similar myself - though I have the Mini T which doesn't seem to have the ability to bypass the volume control (unless anybody knows any different).

My only alternative was to keep the volune control and use some £15 source selector from ebay?

Just turn it all the way up. But turn your pre all the way down first. Then set the volume via the pre.

Obviously I remember that amp mate and even used with an arcam pre at one point, I found that if turned all the way up you'd hear a slight clcick click click, so I backed off the volume pot to about 3 o clock and it worked fine. I now have a mini 1 in my second system and been sniffing around one of these BTE preamps myself, to handle many inputs and provide a line out to my headphone amp.

Thanks Andy.
I'm currently with another offer.
If that falls I might consider yours.

Cheers

Hi Andy,

I might be interested in the BTE is Carlos doesn't want it. But don't want to be rude and jump on this thread prematurely.
