Macbook air bargain

A refurbished one from apple for £599, looks like a helluva bargain...

I had a heart stopping moment for a second having a quick peak in the electronics recycling bin where I live. Macbook Air 11" !!

Sadly on closer look the someone had complete destroyed it, bent the whole thing in half, smashed screen etc - presumably to get to the SSD, which had been removed? I don't know why people do it.. like they are damned if anyone should get a freebee rather than them bother to sell it.

Flat prices of where I live have sky rocketed the last 4 or 5 years and a new flash appartment block recently finished next door with part of our car park sold to them so now liberally sprinkled with blingy BMWs and Maseratis - probably one of them throwing it away and having fun smashing it up. :(

We've been doing some home improvement recently and I've paid several visits to the local recycling centre, I always poke my head in the electronics bins as you'll never know. Someone had dumped and old PC with a WiFi dongle still attached, grabbed that as they come in handy.

For whatever reason. At my local recycling centre/tip, once something has been deposited, no one can have it!

'cept perhaps the guys working at the site? Same rule applies at our local site but I notice all the workers with a car park them on site and regularly 'replenish' their boots. Perk of the job?
