Like a complete fool I bought this for £130 whilst inebriated the other night  Its a lovely bit of kit but I really don't need it !

Harman Kardon HK930 "Twin Powered" Receiver. It was top of the range back in '72/'73 & features dual mono power supply, twin phono stage, 4 gang tuning capacitor etc etc... Its also built like a brick sh*thouse.

Pretty good condition for age, one bulb is out & the knobs could do with a polish... I would like to recoup £100.

If your interested drop me a PM :)

The 930 is potentially a VERY fine amp plus tuner (in one) indeed!!!! I suspect it's also potentially better at music delivery than the nicer looking Yamaha CR800 and CR1000's of the same period.

Maybe I shouldn't start another interest rush, but HK have made some very good amps over the years, and the fairly recent HK990 is reputed to be really good too.

Nice. I had the 330, 430 and 730. But not one of these. Good price for a quality item.

God someone should snap this up - it's really rather a good machine, and what a price!
Too many receivers in this house though.
Good luck with the sale.

If I hadn't just bought a Sony 670es for my office system I would be tempted

Thanks guys. Its a jolly good amp/tuner. I forgot to mention, the previous owner has had the 70's bare wire only connections replaced with 4mm sockets for banana plugs... It looks proper job & not bodged at all.

Could do swaps if anyone's got something interesting... I am looking for a cheap turntable ;)

Needs to go... Price drop to £90 for AOS'ers before auction on eBay.

I had one of these receivers driving a pair of leak speakers. Kept me going for years. The receiver might still be in the loft since I can't remember disposing of it. Absolute fabulous output with good solid bass.

Absolute fabulous output with good solid bass.

Cant argue with that ! Its quite surprising, I've had literally no interest what so ever.... I guess most people just don't have a clue how good they are

I'd of had it but i've just got too much kit lying about so I havr had to stop buying. Unless you fancy a swap for somthing. Got a linn lk1, lk100, sony es55, some intersting cd players, av amps, blu ray. Could maybe do a part ex and throw in a little cash. Let me know if you are interested.

No worries Alex... Nothing a few posts in the spinning today (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?14170-Spinning-Today-What-Are-You-Listening-To-Right-Now&p=548549#post548549) thread can't remedy ;)

Good suggestion, doing that now, not sure when I'll be able to PM but still - consider me interested.
I was looking for a preamp enabled integrated with phono input and a good headphone out and this seems to fit the bill - and it looks amazing!
My turntable sits unused since I gave my last integrated away and I'd like to put it to good use :)
