Hello,
this is Chris here from The Netherlands. I am 34 and slowly starting to enjoy everything Hi-fi.
Right now I have a Yamaha Pianocraft E810, coupled with Q-Acoustics 1010i's and a Beresford DAC, the Bushmaster Mki. For Blu-ray's I'm using a PS3. Right now I am very happy with this system. I don't live in a big house, but in a small appartment.
My preferred musical taste is classical music (especially Dvorak, Richard Strauss, Jean Sibelius and Cesar Franck), jazz (especially Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson and Thelonius Monk), jazz fusion (Return to Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Jean-Luc Ponty and Tony Williams) and prog-rock (Yes, Renaissance, Porcupine Tree and Gostav Berlings Saga).
I really like the neutral, analytical nature of the Yamaha and the Bushmaster and the clarity of the Q-Acoustics. I prefer a analytical, neutral sound over bass. I do have a cheap Yamaha sub that was recommended for the Pianocraft, the YST-SW012. It's nothing special but I have it turned on very lowly just because without it the Q-Acoustics, as a bookshelf speaker, are lacking a bit in the bass department.
Well, while starting here I already have a question but I will post it in the right place:

Well, I'm looking forward to my time here!
greetings from Holland,
