I'm selling two legendary phono stages made by Exposure. They are probably the most musical solid state phono preamps I've ever listened to. Owing to the over-engineered dual mono mosfet regulated power supply with large toroidal transformer and capacitors, they sound dynamic and punchy, leaning towards the warm and seductive. As well as the powerful bass, they have sweet and full bodied mid and sweet and open topend with no hint of grain.
I bought them from an ex-exposure engineer friend of mine, who actually assembled the XIII himself (signature on pcb). Only selling as I now have only one turntable and one too many phono stages.
1. Exposure XIII dual regulated phono stage, captive power lead, boxed. £500 shipped via UPS next day within mainland UK.
It is in excellent condition visually. It was checked by Tony Brady of exposure last November. Only one relay needed replacing and everything is in perfect working order. It has around 58db gain with fixed 470ohm load impedance, so the cartridge selection is limited, but I had great results with Audio Technica ATOC9, EMT TSD15, Roksan Shiraz, Benz Micro low and mid output cartridges.
2. Exposure XXVI dual regulated phono stage, power lead, boxed. £500 shipped via UPS next day within mainland UK.
It is in as new, mint condition visually and in perfect working order. It was part of my bedroom system, which was hardly used. It has three gain options (0.25mv, 0.50mv and 1mv) with 8 resistive loading options (100, 110, 130, 160, 210, 310, 470, 1.5k ohms) which can be selected via jumpers inside, so it can accommodate wide range of mc cartridges. I also had great results with Audio Technica ATOC9, EMT TSD15, Roksan Shiraz, Benz Micro low and mid output cartridges.
