Best of luck!
The wireless on 'em ain't that good - I have a separate WAP on my network now, and disable the wireless on the so called Super Hub.
I also find that a judicious blob of BluTack in the appropriate place stops the bloody thing from casting a blue illuminating glow over your room.

Super Hub Version
Software Version "V2.38.01"
Hardware Version 2.00
It's the Netgear one.
Oh right... you don't want one of those! :D

So which one doesn't cause problems?
While I'm at it, what is the probable cause of my Tivo box locking up on HD channels?
It happens sometimes when I switch channels, but more annoyingly it sometimes happens when I've set something to records, and it's usually a live footie match (It's great to go to the match, but sometimes things happen that you never fathom out until you get to play back the recording).
When the HD locks up a reset of the box normally sorts it out.
By locking up I get a channel not available message.
I suspect the local DEMUX is at fault ...
Oh right... the TiVo 'problem' is an inbuilt feature, it's there to stop you watching shite!http://theartofsound.net/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Seriously though, it's impossible to remotely diagnose this sort of stuff, book a call and get a geezer out, there's a squillion things it could be. PM me about the superhub. http://theartofsound.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I'd call up the fault centre, but my tolerance of offshore call centres is low.
The other thing is I'd need to be in when the guy calls to have a look at the problem, and predicting when that is going to be is sometimes difficult. I do not stay off work for anybody's convenience - it's an affliction of the self employed.
If I ain't working I ain't making money to pay the bills.

I know.
Your Tivo is full of motorcycle racing, or it would be if the bloody thing would record it ... :ner:

Chris,
I NEVER phone tech support at Virgin for the same reasons...nothing will turn you into a grumpy old man quicker than that.
Always use the VM forums to book a tech visit, have done a few times and a much better way of getting the problem fixed.
Can take a couple of days for your post to be responded to by VM, but they always do.

I couldn't possibly comment about off-shore call centres!

I didn't think you could :)
Last couple of times I've called Virgin with faults (the people I spoke to never sounded 'offshore') the response has been almost immediate. On one occasion I called Saturday lunchtime & the engineer was there to fix the problem Monday morning at 8 (and they texted twice to confirm the appointment & he called half an hour before arrival).
