Does anyone have recommendations for Inner Sleeves? I am looking for heavyweight plastic. I'm not interested in any fabulous technology, just sleeves that will go in and out of the record cover easily.

I go for the thin 'D'-shaped ones myself. I get them from Snow Records in Japan for significantly less than any other supplier I have ever found. I don't know for certain if they sell exactly what you are looking for, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't.

Yeah, think so.

I use both the MoFi ones and the Nagaoka type rounded bottom ones.

I find them all a pain in the arse!

The MoFi ones "collapse" on themselves, so that the corner folds over when sliding it in, and the Nagaoka types are difficult top open up to slide the LP in and then crumple up when you put the record in.

That said, I assume they are better than NOT using them.

Just searched for these - they do look to be a bit cheaper. Are they exactly the same as the Nagaoka ones (which I am led to believe contain almost magical qualities!)

Do you get stung for customs at all?

I don't like the fiddly Nagaoka type liners. Plain old polylined paper ones from Covers 33 suit me fine.

I like the black polylined that were a bit popular in the '80s. Covers33 have them at £13/50.

I've been buying them for years. Apart from the fact that they don't have Nagaoka written all over them, I don't know what differences there could be. The perform in exactly the same way and don't promote static.
I have never been asked to pay for any customs or other tax or duty on anything from Snow Records. (Now, now - paying your taxes like a good citizen is not the same as being stung!)

Do you have to keep the order value below a certain amount to avoid the customs? (About £18 I think?)

Do they declare the value on the packaging?

Thanks

My orders for sleeves have always exceeded £30-worth, records sometimes not though.
I don't know what they do on the declaration, sorry.

not wise discussing that subject on an open forum chief, avoiding customs???

take you chances like most people have to do, its 50/50 if parcelforce pick you shipment for import duty and vat

scott nangle sells plenty of choices of sleeve so why bother importing them all the way from japan just to save a few bob?
