Guitar parts needed ?

Anyone know of a outlet for guitar parts

I picked up a old guitar , it has one of the adjusters missing and needs a new set of strings

Its a Barns and Mullins Cortez made in Spain

If you have no luck with the links already given, try Touchstone Tonewoods in Reigate. Thats where I always got my supplies. They post stuff out.

As pointed out, there is a crack in another turnbutton and you should get a new set of machine heads as that will break off at some stage. Most are the standard size so it shouldn't be a problem. They do strings as well but they are available cheapish on eBay.

The machine heads are held on with very small screws so don't lose them. If you are lucky, the new ones will include screws.

I reckon that would be good if the originals were worth saving. Trouble is, cheap machine heads are just that and for most, it would be much simpler to change them.

Nice video though. Naturally, his heating system would only work with plastic. Those of us who wouldn't dream of using anything so cheap and nasty (my dear:)) as plastic on our machine heads would have to find another way. I wouldn't use ivory on principle these days but a nice shin bone of beef does the trick once its been bleached a bit.

They feel much nicer than plastic too.
