A rare opportunity to find a cheap working early version.
Average condition. ie not too tatty, but would benefit from a clean.
I've been given this by a mate to sell.
It was his dad's from new..and he thinks that was the early 70's.
Anyway everything functions Ok, apart from the power light not working.
It plays, records etc.
Some of the lettering on the front has faded.

what has really struck me is the quality of recordings I have recently made - really excellent.
At first I played some of the original tapes and it all sounded rather muddy.
However I realise now that was probably as a result of the sources used back in the day, as recording through my Arcam AV tuner and also CD is exemplary.

looking for £150 collected. Or as I travel extensively I could deliver most places in England...but rather not ship.
tapes and spools available seperately.

Steve,

Can you tell me what speeds it does, 3-3/4 7-1/2 or 7-1/2 15ips?

Cheers

They are 3.75 & 7.5ips

If it has no amplifiers the Models 1102 is 2-Track, 1104 is 4-Track.. If there is a power amps then the Model 1122 is 2-Track, 1124 is 4-Track

Hi Paul
The rotatable power switch has 3 3/4 to the left and 7 1/2 to the right.

Thanks

Steve

Bump..
Must be the one with amps:
....it has speaker out din connections, which I haven't tested yet.
It has a headphone socket, which works remarkably well.

That beaks it down to either a '1122' or '1124' . you need a mirror now to see if the heads are 2-trk or 4-trk.

They are 3.75 & 7.5ips

That's strange Andre, all five I've owned and numerous A77s I've used have been 7 1/2 - 15ips 2 tracks :)

Well it definitely says - 3 3/4 to the left and 7 1/2 to the right on the rotatable power switch.
I'll take some close up pics tomorrow.

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm sure what you have is a standard A77 rather than a high speed which is what I'm after. Like all Revox reel to reels yours will be a great machine, I was just querying Andre's statement that they are all standard speed
