View Full Version : Monsoon Waves
The flat we had in Bombay looked out over a murky Arabian Sea, and when the monsoon came in (around this time of year) the sea would crash against the sea walls with amazing force. My wife decided she just had to go out and get some pictures...she took this one from the car window.

LOL...you really really wouldn't want that water on you. In the mornings I used to be able to have a shave and out the bathroom window see people having a crap on rocky shore line. Don't know actually what happened to sewerage...but from the colour of the sea I can guess !!
Actually I know that in the rural areas its used for irrigating the crops...which then get sold in all the markets...which was also why we went a bit overboard and used to take Milton tablets back with us to our daily fruit and veg sterile.
Deep Joy.
On balance though we had an amazing time, and miss it an awful lot now. Brilliant country, with some wonderful people.
Here is another fav pic of mine. Taken from out hotel balcony of the Taj Mahal near midnight with a Mamiya 330 on a tripod holding the shutter open manually for several shots wondering what would come ot. At least these days with digital you don't have that worry..:)
