Also the Beatles LP but 'Help'. My sister bought it for me the year I left school. The only previous record of any kind I had was 'up the lazy river' by Bobby Darin. I became an instant fan and have remained so 49 years later.

My Dad was working in Liverpool at the time and bought Abbey Road on the day of release...thus began many daytrips to Liverpool from Dublin to buy all the other Beatles LPs a couple at a time...I wish I still had them all now,but have managed to hold on to the original Abbey Road and White Album as 2 were bought at the time...all the rest have been replaced, and I still have the Blue Boxset unplayed......but one of these days.......
