  and  again.

Having sold on my TT and ALL of my vinyl only a few months ago, I am now on the lookout for ........................... another turntable; what is it with this affliction FFS ?

Anyway, as usual, not much of a budget, up to about £250'ish.

If it has an arm, so much the better, cart would be the icing on the cake, but otherwise happy to just buy a deck and look at it for a month until funds allow :)

That kind of money if you willing to go second hand nothing really touches a old Lenco But it may require a bit DIY and/or tender loving care to get the best out of it

Had and built a fair few Lenco's John.

No problem going that route :)

Do what i do just buy a nice sounding system & be satisfied with it, forget about hi-fi & just stop listerning to other people. works wonders. It's an illness see, but the looneys wont admit to it.

How come you sold your vinyl in the first place?

Just get a half decent deck and be done with it.. Sometimes you can pick up a nice Pink Triangle with a broken lid but relatively good arm for that money.

As André says, just don't obsess about it.

Problem with Lencos is there's a bit of "scene" so it comes with a lot of baggage and psychological pressure to upgrade with plinths and this and that.

You want one of these, mate. Does away with the need for amplification and speakers. It's a win, win, win situation, surely?

And stereo's not all it's cracked up to be. All this twaddle about 3-D soundstage. Pure fantasy mate. Pure fantasy.

It's not an illness, it's not. I could stop whenever I wanted to.

Stupidity.

Quite like Lencos so the upgrade scene doesn't phase me.

Trouble is, If I wasn't messing about with Hi-Fi, I'd be rebuilding cars or motorbikes. Hi-Fi is safer! :)
