I think it's a great TT but I gotta say that many people never get it set up correctly unless they have been shown how by a knowledgeable dealer or owner.

A lot of gyro owners set the turrets to what they think is the optimum setting but fail to achieve it. I myself thought my first attempt at setting it up was pretty perfect but on taking it to a dealer to fit an MC cart (before I learned how to fit carts) I was surprised to see the difference he made to the TT.

The sub chassis as you know is meant to be balanced by the cams on the turrets so that it bobs up and down with no wobble. You can get it pretty close so that it seems to be working OK but at optimum the Sub chassis oscillates up and down rapidly as oppose to a slow bounce. There is a very minute adjustment on the cams to achieve this once you are close, bit perseverance results in a TT that performs as J Michell designed it. If you paid a lot of money for it why not get it right ;)

This is very hard to explain but any good dealer who has been trained to set up the Gyro could show you the difference it makes. Here is a video that attempts to show it, the main thing it shows is how rapidly the Subchassis oscillates as compared to the slower "bounce" before reaching this optimum point.
