Apologies as I joined about two months ago, but did not introduce myself. Anyway, Philip here, been collecting and listening to Hi-Fi for almost 30 years.
Moved to tubes about 6 months ago and love the sound.
Also just bought a Bresford 7520 and now stream my 800 odd CD collection - sounds very good.
Sdaly junked my vinyl collection several years ago - woudl move back to vinyl but the thought of starting collecting again is too daunting at the moment - vinyl is hard to source here in China, but I could just purchase someone's colelction I suppose. Any ideas?
Turntable of current choice would be SRM Arezzo or Kuzma.
Happy to hear from any of you - especially if any of you are China based.

What kind of music do you like? Would you like to put some photos of your hi-fi in the Gallery...we all like to look at photos of members set ups.

Hope you continue to enjoy sharing the forum with us. One of the nicer things about 'the net' is that it brings the rest of the world much nearer. :)
You may have a problem with vinyl in China but I envy your ready and cheap access to CDs and DVDs - I have recently bought about 20 music DVDs from China, using 'the net', at prices I could not get anywhere in UK ;) - all were excellent quality sound (and picture). If I understand what I read on the net (I am not technical in any 'sound' snse), you also have ready and cheap (by UK standards), access to some excellent valve kit.
Anyway, I hope your stay is long and enjoyable also.

Welcome to Art Of Sound, Philip. When it comes to a vinyl collection, there's nothing wrong with starting small and building it up over time. eBay and the internet is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately I know nothing of the local economics in China, and how easy it is to import items from other countries... hopefully some other members will have more experience of this!

Anyway, so glad you decided to join up! Enjoy and carry on posting!
