Hi all. Whilst I’ve joined a few HiFi forums over the years, most are not as polite or have the same Ethos as what I’ve seen here and though I’ve been an avid AOS ‘reader’ for many years, particularly since discovering the Techie area, not joined till now. A bit odd really seeing AOS is pretty much my favourite site to visit.
I’m very fortunate to have a home where I can have a stereo only system completely separate from my TV etc. My wife and I have had a good stereo system from day one but I did get sidetracked for a while with a single surround sound based system. It was good and still has its place but always seemed to be lacking something (to me) in two channel for pure music. So the stereo setup was added and has evolved as funds became available over the last 8 years or so.
Music tastes are wide and varied though predominantly anchored around Jazz fusion at home. For live performances, I love symphony orchestra recitals but a good pub band can go down very well also. Vinyl and CD are both well catered for system wise but no thoughts of streaming yet as still old fashioned enough to enjoy the ritual of handling the media.:)
