View Full Version : All The Planets Aligned
This afternoon I had a brilliant session where everything I played sounded wonderful. I even listened to 2 CDs all the way through......that's funny. that rarely happens:D

Was that through the Klipsch Rob? or have you sold them on...?
Bev, as can be seen in my avatar I have a pair of vintage Technics which I am using in parallel with the Klipsch. It is likely that most would say that this would/should not work. However the proof of the pudding........as they say. These create a huge soundstage and good tight bass. Rob

Oh I am so pleased you are at least still using the Klipsch in some way
I keep trying to get people to at least TRY a horn loaded speaker but with not too much success... I just think that Klipsch and other horn loaded speakers have a bad name for some reason
I wish peeps would at least TRY a pair just to see what all the fuss is about
I have had more than 10+ different speakers over the years and the only speakers I would return to more than once are Klipsch and Quad 57's
We will, I hope, get others to at least give them a try a???

You've been keeping that quiet Rob or have I missed some thread? Any chance of some 'action' pictures of those Tekerniks?

Aye, they're nice speeks, I used to have a pair from higher up the range, can't remember the model, it was a three way with the tweeter sat on top of the cab.
There was another pair of mine on ebay which went for £2.27! I really should have been prepared to drive to Nottingham. I also saw a pair of the larger ones (which I assume you had) which went for £75. I paid more than that for mine. I am getting into these vintage Jap built speakers. There was a large pair of Yamahas just down the road from me which were up for too much in my opinion. Waiting to hear from the seller whether or not he will take an offer, nice 15" bass units.

I heard a pair of RB81 mk2 and they sounded far better than Klipsch o yester year.
Keep in mind both wave guides and drivers have improved. less honk and more bass is what they needed and slowly it's getting better.
The older JBL stuff just sounded so much better than Klipsch, It will take years for them to beat their reputation.
I wish I had room for my favorite horn speakers,Jensen Imperials.
