Just returned home with my new "hifi" system, downside is it takes quite a bit of effort to get it to sound good....

The old bass fiddle huh? At the very least if you get bored it'll be handy for room tuning.

Yes indeed, it's a Strad pattern 'cello. I've been trying out a few different models and this one sounds nice and looks good as well so took the plunge today. 25 years since I last played so I'm very rusty, but I've found a good teacher and am very determined. Here's another piccy:

I wish you well....I always liked the sound of a cello, and strings in general...wanted to learn violin when young but my sister would not let me use hers....typical big sis :lol:
