Having seen the documentary on BBC Four last night, it has reminded me that I need to buy the double lp 'Made in Japan' on vinyl ...

Has anyone out there bought the new remasters and can comment on sound quality compared to the original?

I'm thinking it would be pretty good since it was remastered by Steve Hoffman from the original tapes ...

To my ears the new version adds nothing to the old pressing.

Thanks for that - still may be worth getting a copy as good first pressings easily go for similar money and at least I might get clean surfaces with the remaster ...
