Hello All,
Been lurking for awhile, mainly reading stuff on DACS.
I bought my first hi-fi as a student 30 years ago, upgraded 15 years later and that was about 15 years ago, so it's may be time for some more kit. . . . .
Currently using a Marantz 7200 amp and TDL RTL3 floorstanders, needed a DAC to hook my new TV's audio up so purchased a Bushmaster, just acquired a Pioneer DV717 to use as a transport instead of my previous Pioneer 656. Turntable is still my student Dual CS515, really must rediscover vinyl and treat myself. Main concern about new kit is where to put the old stuff.
Musical tastes are quite varied, favourite artists are predominantly female, anything from Bjork to Lianne la Havas. Jazz from bebop onwards, classical 20th century or later, got a complete blind spot for formulaic rock pop and rap. And I still believe in that thing called the whole album, none of this pick n mix download business. I don't spend a lot of time listening to music, because if I want to listen, I want to do it thoroughly, particularly for new material.
