I just joined here

Currently my system is the ODAC and Bushmaster MKII (going to sell one of the two once the Bushmaster arrives) > Temple Audio Bantam Gold > Hifiman HE-6/Sennheiser HD650/Martin Logan Mikros 90. I'm also planning on switching over to battery power with the proceeds from the DAC sale.

I listen to pretty much everything except country but a lot of Emo, Screamo, Hip-Hop and Post Rock.

Hi, welcome. The Gold responds well to battery power. I run a pair into an active pair of open baffle speakers.

When you say battery power is there a specific setup for this? External battery unit like Red Wine Audio?

I'm going to go for one of these and a splitter so it can power both the bantam and the bushmaster

Yep, that's the one I'm using. Good thing with it is, you can just leave it on charge all the time, so just fit and forget. You will have to make up your own power leads though.

I have the Bushmaster that loves the Ankaka but I found the Bantam sounded a lot better using a 12MAh mobility battery so now have two separate batteries
(just my experience) I was also running this on two separate Ankaka batteries but the Ankaka did not really get on with the Bantam

I don't find the same, but maybe it's because I'm running two?

I just changed to a mobility battery sound more analogue
Using 2 Ankaka sound not as analogue more harsher.
The Ankaka loved the Bushmaster but might be something else going on
I think the battery I got for the Bantam cost about £18 on ebay 12v 12MAh (I think bigger capacity batteries make a difference)

Maybe try running both from one battery?

Just one battery for the Gold one battery for the Bushmaster
At least we have a explanation for our different findings as a different set up I am thinking of moving to 2 Bantam Golds
