Hi,

I've recently decided that I need to get myself an external DAC (possibly the 7520) and after a bit of searching I stumbled across this forum, which looks like it's jam packed full of information so I'm hoping some of you good people can give me some advice!

My AV/HiFi set up is Display: Panasonic PT-AX200E Amp: Arcam A65+ Speakers & Sub: Quad 11L, BK XLS200 DF MK2 Sources: Arcam CD62, Squeezebox Classic v3, Toshiba HD-EP30, Denon TU-1800DAB, Pro-Ject Debut III Esprit (with Denon DL-160), iPod Classic 120GB, Aiwa AD-F450 Headphones: Grado SR80 Remote: Harmony One

I love Goldfrapp and the Floyd. Just starting to get into the Flaming Lips. A broad taste in music is a very healthy thing Ade.

A Squeezebox;) that be new fangled digital stuff errrrr.....I am going the other way I am afraid to say...just got a Reel to Reel recorder/player (just waiting for some tape before I can try it out). Seriously though I am in favour of anything which opens you up to lots of new music. As you will no doubt see if you have a look at my threads/posts I am a vlave, vinyl and tape guy. But I am also into SACD and CD...so digital isn't outlawed on new Skaro totally.

Vinyl's a great way to listen to some different stuff too, there's some bargains out there in the charity shops (maybe not always the best quality, but I just see it as a donation if it's a little scratchy!) :)

Indeed... I found 10 nice nick Classical albums earlier today including a half speed master audiophile disc in mint condition. Classical tends to be mint, whereas pop, rock etc not so...rare to find them in mint condition.

I love Beck's album Sea Change (I have it on SACD), not quite so sure about is other music, though I do remember liking his first album. I am going to see Jeff Beck on Tuesday next week. That should be am excellent concert. Tickets were a Christmas present from my wife.

Thanks Nick. My kit isn't a patch on half the stuff that other people on this forum have got, but it suits me ok! Once I get the new DAC sorted it should be that little bit better too!
