Hi

I am after a cheap (>£40) integrated amplifier for my nephew. Pick up near Oxford if possible.
Any offers?
Cheers

AM-26? Are you serious?
I love the brand, but I haven't listened to it yet...

why criticize if you have not heard one?

I'm not criticizing, I'm asking because I have never heard one.
Please don't take my words wrong. ;)

Edit: does it have a DAC inside?

no, it is not digital, but has a decent phono stage and can take 4 speakers. I used to run it with Tannoy E11's and it was very good....the balance control was a bit noisy when I took it out of use reently as I moved on to a Ravensburne and a cambridge power amp. I have cleaned the controls with d'oxit so should be better now, although not had a chance to retry. It was not a major problem as I never used the balance anyway.
I just keep it as a spare currently....it is in excellent condition for its age and pretty clean. Heavyish too...would make a good first time system or second system and has a fair amount of power.Drove my quad floorstanders with ease.
