I used to have one of these gauges and rather foolishly sold it on.

Anyone got one that they wish to sell?

Cheers

Dave

In actual fact, the Ortofon one for under a tenner is more accurate on the main settings than the Shure, which had errors - well mine did. My Shure is long gone now but I use the Ortofon regularly.

Thanks for that tip, I think I'll go for the Ortofon instead. At £7.50, you can't go wrong.

I've seen the Shure for about the same price.

I don't fully trust digital gauges as I find they can give different readings when I repeatedly check vtf. I find tapping the weighing platform helps. I sometimes use my Shure as a double check, they are more fiddly but more consistent.
