Class a on a budget... MF A1 springs to mind. I have a suspicion that an Audio Innovations Alto like Jerry's currently playing with would also sound rather nice :eyebrows:
Will keep an eye out for you.
There is a very good Sugden a21a on the wam...450, and is worth it...

Here is a superb sounding pure Class A power amplifier at a very low price:

Match it with a decent passive pre-amp and you will get an amazing sound.
I know because I own one (amongst others) and it sounds heavenly driving my big Tannoys, very clean and smooth, with bags of detail and plenty of punch. Nicely built too. Mine incidentally, is used with a TVC pre-amp.
Check out the online reviews. There are several, all full of praise!
No the class A, but will work with AN extremely well: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?31136-IC-Sonneteer-Orton-in-black
