Greetings Everyone

I am so impressed by all of the help that I received from the members of this forum in my Updating a Pioneer PL-71 turntable (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?29987-Updating-a-Pioneer-PL-71-turntable) thread. I thought that I owe it to you all to post some photos of my PL-71 that I took shortly after recapping the PSU.

Here are a couple of photos showing the PL-71 and the Pro-Ject Phono Box RS phono stage:

Here are a couple overview photos of the PL-71 itself:

I will post a few close-ups in the next post.

Cheers,
Quinn

Hey Everyone,

It is such a great, vintage turntable. I am extremely happy with it. At present it is fitted with an Ortofon 2M Black (which I am starting to think was not the best match for the relatively heavy PL-71 tonearm). The PL-71 runs through a Pro-Ject Phono Box RS connected to a PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium integrated amp that powers two PSB Synchrony Two loudspeakers.

I am hoping to try out a Dynavector XX-2 MKII cartridge in this system in the next week or so, and I will let you guys know what I learn.

Thanks again for all of the help and support over the last few weeks.

Cheers,
Quinn
