After buying my first (and only) system in the '80s I've just re-connected my turntable after years of none use. What a pleasant experience after all those years.

Current system is very moderate

Arcam Alpha 2 Amp
Arcam Alpha 2 CD
Celestion DL 6 Speakers Dual 505-2 Turntable

I wonder what sort of music you like to listen to?

Hi Ray, welcome to AOS, it's a friendly place for good advice. I've happy memories of a system with an Arcam Alpha CD player. What sort of music do you listen to on yours?

Music tends to be mainly pop, rock, acoustic guitar. Eels, Elbow, Rush, Damien Rice, Stornoway. Probably need to listen to more.....
